Recent Work

June 6th, 2009 by Maze

Been doing a lot of editing at work lately, and a lot of stuff has turned out pretty nice. Head on over to iDC Photography and take a look. Here are some links to individual postings on Bruce Dorn’s blog with stuff I have edited:

There’s a bunch of other stuff, including product reviews and some basic 2-camera sequences which are interesting if you are into shooting video or video/camera equipment.

Foray into Teaching

February 8th, 2009 by Maze

Well, I have officially started teaching at Yavapai College. I am only teaching one class this semester, Magazine Production (Art 235). The class is capped at 10 students, and it is mixed with another class, Graphic Design II (Art 132). The two classes work together to produce Threshold Creative Arts Magazine (http://www2.yc.edu/content/vpa/threshold.htm). I am still nervous about this foray into teaching… Really, what I want to do is to help people think and to inspire them on their journey. Which is hard, you know, standing up there and trying to ask questions and make comments that sound super intelligent.

Upgrades Can be so Much Fun

November 9th, 2008 by Maze

Another short rant here… I finally did an upgrade to the most current version of Wordpress. Not so bad, WP makes if fairly easy plus they have full backup instructions for your database from within phpMyAdmin which you can find here. Unfortunately, I decided to update a few of my plugins, including NextGEN Gallery. Which in itself went well. But when I updated the NextGEN-FlashViewer plugin for the NextGEN Gallery plugin I suddenly lost Simpleviewer capabilities for NextGEN Gallery. However, I did discover that the Lightbox effect has been ironed out in the new version of NextGEN Gallery (I haven’t updated it in quite a while). Pair that with the Shadowbox JS plugin and you get real easy Shadowbox galleries. So I guess it all works out, or something.
